of quality control procedures. In 1997, Polymedco worked closely with
Biomira and received FDA clearance for the Truquant BR® breast
tumor marker which brought a new method of testing to breast cancer
patients. In 1999, Polymedco’s BTA stat® test for recurrent
bladder cancer detection received FDA clearance for prescription home use.
The recent market introduction of the Poly-Chem™ Chemistry/Immunoassay
analyzer marks Polymedco’s latest marketing achievement. This compact
and technically advanced counter top instrument offers users the most
extensive menu on the market and the ability to consolidate work stations.
In July of 1998, Polymedco
purchased Bard Diagnostic Sciences (renamed Alidex, Inc.), a diagnostic
subsidiary of C.R. Bard. With this addition, Polymedco maintains an ISO
9001 manufacturing and research facility located in Redmond, Washington.
